Finishing up in Romania...moving on to Moldova

This was the family that we stayed with while in Turda. They were very hospitible and we took hot showers!
We visited a fortress/cave while in Turda with the youth group on Sunday

Enjoying day off in Cluj

A new drain that we dug today!

This is where the old bakaza used to be

This is the new bakaza that we built in the back...it ended up being alot bigger than the one in the front that we torn down and it looks awesome!

Its been a while now since the team from ORU left us (Jon and Brian) in Romania. With the majority of the Americans gone it was definately diffrent around the base for us and took about a week to adjust to the "new" environment. We have gotten to know alot of the people at the base at a deeper level and are learning more of the language. After the team was gone we were left with finishing up the "bakaza" or shed. This is what we have been doing for the past week and a half and it is finally finished! This past weekend we went to a town called Turda (about 2 hrs by train from Medias...near Cluj) with the rest of the students and staff from the base. While there we had the pleausre of visiting one of the student's home church on Saturday night. This night was for the youth and the students from the base presented what they had done on their outreaches to Africa, Inda, and Brazil. The point of this was to mobilize and invite others do get involved in mission. Since Monday was our day off we decided to just stay in Cluj with a friend of one of the girls from the base and explore the city. Too make a long story short, we had a blast and made some new friends. We are now back in Medias getting ready to leave to Molvova on Friday. Why are we going to Moldova?? Glad you asked! We are going there hosting a "mini DTS" (dicipleship trianing) Its basically a short version of what they do and teach at the base in Medias. This will be the first mini DTS ever hosted in Moldova and has small beginings. So far there are 4 students that signed up to be there for a month. Please be praying that God would use our team to speak into the lives of these youth and that this time would be a fruitfull experience for them. Hopefully this will be the start of something great for the glory of God in Cahul, Moldova! Will will be continuing this blog in Moldova so stayed tuned.
